A reminder that nominations for Sire Stakes yearlings close Friday 15th November. Any horse sired by one of the below nominated stallions and born in 2023 is eligible for nomination into the series. In 2024 there was a £100 nominator bonus for the person who nominated the winners of each division of the Sire Stakes into the series. This award was kindly sponsored by Ayr Standardbreds. Following lengthy discussions we are at a point where there is a possibility of racing returning to Musselburgh. The governing body is currently in negotiations with Musselburgh Racecourse and we are in the process of looking at the financial implications of staging the meeting. If anyone would like to pledge sponsorship please contact the BHRC office so that this can be passed onto the Musselburgh racing committee.

A panel made up of some of the BHRC directors and track officials will be undertaking a review of the rulebook over the winter based on the feedback we received over the course of the 2024 season from stewards, licence holders and promoters.  We welcome any additional feedback from members for suggested rule changes by email to bhrc.office@yahoo.co.uk. All feedback/suggestions to be received by 5pm Monday 4th November.
