Evelyn Slack
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Evelyn Slack wife of Arthur, mother of Dianne and the late Ken. Evelyn is embedded in the history of harness racing, and was a prolific horsewoman, driver and breeder. It is testament to her character that right to the very end Evelyn could still be found working horses in the arena, and was in attendance at Carlisle Racecourse last week to celebrate Arthur’s horse Detective winning for daughter and trainer Dianne and the extended family. Our heartfelt sympathies go to Arthur, Dianne and family. Funeral arrangements to follow.

Onefortheroad Unofficial Record
At the recent PACT meeting ONEFORTHEROAD smashed the 3yr old 1.25 mile record. Unfortunately although we all recognised what a magnificent performance it had been (2.29.50), nobody realised that the record had been taken. The horse was not tested and therefore it can only be an unofficial record. In light of this processes have been reviewed and will be changed to try to prevent this happening again. Our sincere apologies go to connections of the horse.
